Closed Circuit Television

CCTV (Closed Circuit TV) has come a long way in the past 10 years or so. More cameras now provide digital output rather than just analog, digital recorders have now replaced most tape recorders, and video transmission is increasingly over network systems. The result of this is more flexible choices for camera location, quick access to video clips by a simple computer search (remember looking at hours of VCR tapes just to find an incident that took place last night?). Below is a display from a relatively inexpensive DVR that we offer. All of this information is available locally at the DVR and also remotely from an internet connected software client. Full access to live camera viewing, PTZ control of cameras, playback of archived video clips with a very sophisticated search engine, remote control of things such as lighting, and quick remote copying of needed video clips needed perhaps as evidence for prosecutors.
